Power blackout report submitted


Islam Abad (94 news) The report regarding the recent power blackouts across the country including Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, has been submitted to the Power Division. The report on power blackout has been submitted by the National Power Control Center to the Power Division.
According to the report submitted by the National Power Control Center to the Power Division on January 9 night 11.41 Pm 500 KV Gaddu Shikarpur Circuit 1 And 2 had tripped as well as KV 500 Guddu Muzaffargarh and Guddu DG Khan transmission lines were also tripped.
According to the report, the entire power system was down, the frequency of the system before the blackout 49.85 and before the blackout, the system was generating a total of 10,311 MW of electricity.
The report states that from water 1257 MW of electricity was being generated from government thermal power plants 983 MW electricity was being generated and from IPPs 8 thousand 70 MW electricity was being generated.
According to the report, the system restoration process was initiated from Tarbela Mangala and Warsak power houses but due to high fluctuation of system frequency tripping continued, Tarbela and Mangala were interconnected to stabilize the system.
According to the report, after the Tarbela Mangala Interlink, the system maintenance started and 10 January night 7.40 Until all transmission process was restored.
In the report, the National Power Control Center says that on January 10 evening 6.44 NTDC was connected with K Electric's network.
