Faisalabad (94 News from Sajjad Hussain) Mian Anwar Hussain Information Secretary Punjab All Pakistan Municipal Employees Federation/Chairman EPCA, Irshad Hussain Senior Vice Chairman, Rana Saeed General Secretary, Tahir Shah President, Mian Waheed Nawaz Senior Vice President in their joint statement on behalf of the Punjab government announced the budget for government employees. 2024-25 Rejected the meager relief given as unsatisfactory, unacceptable and oppressive and reacted strongly saying that the back of government employees has been broken due to the current high inflation, utility bills and daily expenses. While only a nominal increase in the budget disappointed lakhs of employees, they demanded the Punjab government to at least 50 The percentage should be increased, the pension of retired employees should be increased in proportion to the inflation. Disparity reduction allowance should be given equally to the employees of all departments, contract, work charge and daily wages should be fixed to the employees. If the demands of the Punjab government employees are not accepted, the leadership of EPCA, EPKFA and the federation will start a protest movement across the province after consultation, all the responsibility of which will be on the government. We are peaceful, conscientious but adamant workers for our rights, and we will not back down until the demands are met.
