Muharram teaches brotherhood, tolerance and respect, Uzma Bukhari

Provincial Ministers are active in all districts on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, the establishment of law and order is the first priority, Provincial Information Minister said.

Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter) Provincial Information Minister/Incharge Muharram Arrangements Faisalabad Division Uzma Bukhari has said that Muharram teaches brotherhood, tolerance and respect. On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provincial ministers are active in all the districts. The establishment of peace and order in the province is the first priority and they will not allow the sanctity of Ashura Day to be affected.
He said this while presiding over a high-level meeting regarding Muharram arrangements at the DC office on the occasion of his visit to Faisalabad. Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayar Sheikh briefed the Provincial Information Minister about the Muharram arrangements and said that complete monitoring of all processions and assembly routes in the district is ongoing. CPO Kamran Adil, WASA, PHA, Municipal Corporation officers were also present. The provincial minister was told that across the district 387 CCTV cameras are functional for monitoring the main processions and assembly routes across the district 40 Walk-through gates have been installed. The Provincial Information Minister said that social media should be closely monitored during the last three days of Muharram and spreading hateful and malicious content on social media is not allowed under any circumstances. He said that confirmation of the reported violation is also necessary. He asked the deputy commissioner and CPO that continuous monitoring of flash points, close contact with the scholars of the peace committee should be maintained. Monitoring should be done with the help of CCTV cameras installed on the routes of the processions.
He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, he has been assigned the responsibility to monitor the Muharram arrangements in Faisalabad and he will remain in Faisalabad Division until the end of Ashura Day processions and meetings. The provincial minister also took a briefing from the heads of the law enforcement agencies during the meeting. Provincial Information Minister Uzmi Bukhari visited Muharram Control Room established in DC office. Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nair Sheikh and CPO Kamran Adil gave a briefing on the procedure of monitoring the routes of processions through the control room. Provincial Information Minister monitored the arrangements on the routes of Muharram processions through CCTV cameras. Large-sized LCDs are installed in the control room and more than 387 modern and high-tech CCTV cameras are also attached, through which direct coverage of the central Imambargah Dhobi Ghat, Chowk Ghanta Ghar, other markets and important processions and gatherings of different areas is being done. It is also connected to the control room. High officials can also see the situation in Faisalabad. Control room 24 Hours are active in which the police department, Rescue 1122, WASA, Waste Management Company, Municipal Corporation, Sui Gas, PTCL, Fesco, Civil Defence, District Administration and other departments are performing duty in three shifts. It should be ensured that the situation is rectified and the problems resolved without delay. The provincial information minister also visited the control room of the district police in Police Lines.
