Announcement of making the student with top performance as deputy commissioner for one day

Faisalabad (94 news) Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh has announced to make a student with top performance in academic and sports activities in educational institutions as deputy commissioner for one day.

He made this announcement while presiding over the meeting of District Sports Committee at Iqbal Stadium and said that the decision of this initiative was taken to encourage students with excellent performance. He also approved the school general sports calendar for the current financial year and said that different sports for boys and girls will be organized separately by June next year under the auspices of the District Sports Committee. 25/25 Tournaments will be held while Faisalabad will host three national and three provincial championships. He said that events will not be held in schools in the months of February and March in connection with the annual matriculation exams so that students can prepare for the exams with equal strength. He said that the local government department has allocated two percent of the budget for sports. Education, Sports, Iqbal Stadium and other related departments issued instructions to implement the sports calendar and said that standard sports events should be organized and sportsmen should also be strongly encouraged.
