Special participation of eminent poems in Jinnah on the occasion of Punjab Culture Day

Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter) Regarding the celebrations of Punjab Culture Day, a comedy show organized by the district administration was held last evening at Bagh Jinnah in which Deputy Commissioner Capt. (T) Nadeem Nasir was the chief guest and Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry was the guest of honour. Director PHA Hasan Javed and other officers besides a large number of ladies and gentlemen participated in the mushaira. Famous poets of the world of humor Zahid Fakhri, Salman Geelani, Khalid Masood Khan, Tahir Shaheer, Arif Bukhari, Veer Sepahi, Dr. Badar Munir, Saleem Akhtar and others made the gathering full of saffron by presenting their beautiful comic poetry. Renowned dialect singer Nazr Abbas rendered heart-touching Punjabi dialects in a beautiful voice and received a standing ovation from the participants. Local poet Shahzad Baig performed the duties of Nizamat. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Captain Retired Nadeem Nasir said that poetry and literature also have a special place in the culture of Punjab and colors of all cultures are reflected in Punjabi poetry. He said that thanks to comedy shows, the citizens have got the opportunity of quality entertainment and they are highly appreciative of the prominent poets who spread smiles on their faces. The Deputy Commissioner thanked DGFDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry for his full support in the arrangements of Mushaira and appreciated all the arrangements. Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry welcomed the distinguished poets of Pakistan who participated in the comedy fair and said that the comedy fair was of great importance in the celebrations to highlight various aspects of the culture of Punjab and people's interest filled the fair. He said that the cultural heritage of Punjab is connected with happy lifestyle, positive social activities, knowledge and skills, love for the land, mutual brotherhood and cultural relations which should be kept active in the society. DGFDA said that the main purpose of celebrating the culture day is to make the new generation familiar with the cultural history and to create an environment of happiness as organizing happy events removes mental tension, social confusion and suffocation from the society. He vowed to continue organizing such events and thanked Deputy Commissioner Captain Retd Nadeem Nasir, other officers and guests for making the Mushaira lively.
