The Punjab government has increased the court fee and stamp duty from 500 to 1000 percent

Lahore(94 news) پنجاب حکومت نے عدالتی فیس اور اسٹامپ ڈیوٹی میں 500سے ایک ہزار فیصد اضافہ کر دیا۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق پنجاب فنانس ایکٹ 2024ءکے تحت سول اور کریمنل پٹیشنز کے لیے کورٹ ٹکٹ فیس 2روپے سے بڑھا کر 500روپے کر دی گئی ہے۔
The fee for transferring a case has been increased from Rs 5 to Rs 500, the fee for obtaining court records has been increased from Rs 2 to Rs 500 and the fee for filing a memorandum of appeal, claim or supervision has been increased from Rs 15 to Rs 500. Civil and criminal lawyers, who were paying just Rs 2 per ticket, will now have to pay Rs 100. The price of tickets which were earlier Rs 5 and Rs 15 has been increased to Rs 500. The Punjab Bar Council has demanded an immediate withdrawal of this increase in court fees and stamp duty.
