Faisalabad (94 news) RPO Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sukhira along with Commissioner Musrat Jabeen visited the main Imambargah and the routes of the processions.
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir, SSP Operations, CTO Nasir Javed, SP Lyallpur Town and other officers were also present on the occasion.
SP Lyallpur Town Abid Hussain Zafar gave a detailed briefing regarding the security plan and arrangements for Muharram.
The RPO reviewed the security arrangements made at the central Imambargah, procession routes and sensitive places.
On this occasion, Commissioner and RPO said that additional personnel and strict security measures should be taken at sensitive places. Security should be made more effective through Safe City cameras, search and sweep operations and intelligence-based measures. All resources should be used to maintain peace and order during Muharram. Provision of a peaceful and safe environment to the pilgrims will be ensured. Foolproof security of assemblies and processions should be ensured. There will be no compromise on the establishment of law and order during Muharram. Peace and stability will be ensured with mutual cooperation of police, administration and people.
