Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar has said that he is determined to provide wide and modern facilities for various sports for the promotion of healthy activities. He said this while inspecting the progress of the sports complex and divisional public school building under construction during his visit to FDA City Sargodha Road. Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry briefed Commissioner Faisalabad about the completion stages of FDA Sports Complex, available indoor games facilities, salient features, further development plans and some issues faced. Additional Commissioner Coordinator Amir Raza, Chief Engineer FDA Mehrayub, Project Director Sohail Maqsood Pannu and other officers were also present on this occasion. Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar made a detailed visit to various parts of the FDA Sports Complex and appreciated the good management, security, cleanliness, pleasant atmosphere and excellent maintenance of the indoor games courts. He said that the modern facilities for world class indoor games including gymnasium for men and women, swimming pools, badminton, basketball and table tennis are very impressive. Expressing his complete satisfaction and happiness, he said that this sports complex is of great importance and usefulness, the efforts of FDA for its establishment and management are worthy of praise. He said that the interviews of the pending candidates for membership should be started soon and the sports complex should be made more baronous and all kinds of entertainment programs should be arranged. He also directed to complete the cafeteria soon for the convenience and interest of the members. Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar also reviewed the progress of the under-construction building of Divisional Public School in FDA and ordered to complete the first floor of the building soon and start the classes so that the citizens can get quality and efficient education facilities near their homes. He assured that steps will be taken to provide the outstanding funds of the project soon. Director General FDA also apprised the Commissioner about various salient aspects of the FDA City residential project while Chief Engineer Mehrayub briefed about the construction stages and latest developments of the DPS building.
