A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Faisalabad Musrat Jabin. RPO Sohail Akhtar Sukhira, Brigadier Pak Army Yasin, Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad Capt.(T) Apart from Nadeem Nasir, deputy commissioners and DPOs of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot participated through video link while representatives of law enforcement agencies were present. The commissioner took a briefing on the administrative and safety issues of processions and assemblies in the four districts and said that the administrative officers should continue monitoring the Muharram arrangements by staying in the field themselves and there should be no laxity at any place. He advised security measures to be vigilant and said that the arrangements on the routes of Muharram processions should be carefully checked again and again. He stressed the need to maintain close contact with the members of the peace committee. The officer of the Pakistan Army said that the establishment of peace and security is a priority and all possible support of the civil administration will continue in this regard.
