Draft constitution to make Gilgit-Baltistan fifth province

Islam Abad (94 news) A constitutional draft was prepared to make Gilgit-Baltistan the fifth province of Pakistan.

According to the details, the government has prepared a constitutional draft to give Gilgit-Baltistan the status of the fifth province of Pakistan. The Federal Ministry of Law has prepared a constitutional draft in the light of international laws and UN resolutions to grant the status of a province to Gilgit-Baltistan.
Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem has also submitted the Gilgit-Baltistan constitutional draft to Prime Minister Imran Khan. Farogh Naseem drafted the Gilgit-Baltistan Constitution himself. On the other hand, the twelfth session of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday. In the meeting, the council approved the issuance of policy directive regarding the auction of next generation mobile services spectrum for the purpose of providing better communication facilities to the people in Gilgit-Baltistan.
