Islam Abad (94 news) PTCL has strongly denied reports of a private TV channel going off air.
Spokesperson PTCL has said that all channels are being broadcast uninterruptedly on PTCL Smart TV across the country, no channel has been stopped. This is a rumor. And the rumor is being spread on purpose. Which has nothing to do with the truth.
Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that the Ministry of Information and PEMRA have not stopped any channel from broadcasting, nor will they stop it.
He further said that Imrani Circus is showing all the channels, it is the government of parties that strongly believe in freedom of expression.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that this is not a fascist and intolerant government of PTI, in which channels, programs and columns are closed, journalists are shot, their ribs are broken or they are arrested.
