Faisalabad: Large development projects should be proposed according to new ideas and modern requirements, the Commissioner's visit to the FDA Complex

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar has assigned targets to FDA for modern urban development and speedy service delivery and has asked to propose new ideas and major development projects according to modern requirements so as to introduce a new style of development of Faisalabad as the third largest city of Pakistan. He released these targets while reviewing the responsibilities and performance of FDA in a briefing session during his visit to the FDA complex. Director General FDA Mohammad Asif Chaudhry welcomed Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar and briefed him about FDA's organizational structure, scope, development activities budget situation, performance, implementation of modern reforms in terms of service delivery and proposed future development projects. Additional Commissioner Coordination Aamir Raza was also with the Commissioner while Chief Engineer FDA Mehrayub, Directors Junaid Hasan Manj, Asma Mohsin, Yasir Ejaz Chatha, Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Asim Mahmood and other officers were also present on the occasion. Commissioner Faisalabad immediately launched a new comprehensive software to solve the problems faced by the citizens regarding private housing schemes. “App” Ordered to be prepared so that the citizens can get real time information about the legal status of any housing scheme and related records. He urged for the establishment of a theme park for urban development under the new idea, besides planning a large project of construction of a tower/plaza on the available space in the center of the city under the new idea which AI (Artificial intelligence) Can be earmarked for a tower, parking plaza or any other major project as per the modern requirements of the future. He suggested re-marketing the important residential project of FDA City for rapid development and introduced modern urban amenities of international standards and other entertainment including theme parks. He also ordered to prepare plans for the expansion and development of FDA Sports Complex. The Commissioner said to make the service delivery mechanism more simple, faster and easier to convey the benefits of digitization of records to the citizens. He said that FDA will be included in the scope of development activities to make the city innovative. He assured to resolve other issues including municipal corporation related issues related to implementation of building laws. Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry informed about the details of countermeasures and sources of income of the organization to prevent illegal housing schemes and said that ownership clearance certificates of properties are being issued in real time under the online system, while in the next phase, the aspirants will be able to get these certificates at home. He also informed about the details of new proposed projects for urban development and some problems faced by the institution.
