Government's decision to maintain the prices of petroleum products
Islam Abad (94 news) The federal government decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products for the next fifteen days and issued a formal notification.
Price per liter of petrol as per notification issued by Govt 299 Rs. 55 Money has been retained, while the cost of high-speed diesel has also been maintained 311 Rs. 47 Paisa per liter will remain the same.
According to the notification, the implementation of existing prices will be effective immediately and will continue for the next fortnight.
The stability in petroleum product prices will not put immediate additional pressure on transport, industrial sector and consumer prices, however, a large number of people were expecting a drop in prices given the recent changes in crude oil prices in the global market.
On the other hand, transporters, farmers and business circles have shown mixed reactions to the government's decision. He said that although the lack of price hike is a positive development, there was a need to reduce the prices of petroleum products to provide real relief to the public in view of the current inflation.
