Faisalabad: Seminar on dengue awareness and prevention at GC University

Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter) Seminar on dengue awareness and prevention was organized in GC University Faisalabad. Which was sponsored by Dr. Muhammad Akram Associate Professor Department of Eastern Medicine and Focal Person Dengue Cell GCUF. Chief Guest Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam highlighted the need for increased dengue risks, preventive measures, environmental improvement, and constant awareness at the community level. He said that universities do not only impart education but also play a leadership role in social responsibilities. In-charge Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. Abid Rasheed explained the practical role of the medical field in the prevention of dengue, the importance of diagnosis, screening, and training of students. District Health Officer Dr. Azmat Abbas highlighted the need for district-level dengue control measures, surveillance, door-to-door inspections, and public cooperation. Professor Dr. Badar gave a comprehensive and scientific lecture on the pathophysiology, complications and modern treatment strategies of dengue virus, Entomologist Dr. Muaz Hayat gave a detailed and research lecture on mosquito species, breeding, biological control and environment-friendly measures. Dr. Muhammad Akram thanked all the distinguished guests and participants and said that the only way to prevent dengue is through effective awareness, community involvement and inter-organizational collaboration and expressed his commitment that GCUF will continue such activities in the future to promote public welfare and public health.
