Faisalabad(94 news) Director of Agriculture Chaudhry Abdul Hameed has said in an important message to the farmers that they should ensure the protection of the crops from cold and frost. He said that due to extreme cold and frost, water freezes in the cells of the stems, branches and leaves of plants, which affects the growth of plants and the plants die due to severe cold.

He said to lightly irrigate the crops, gardens and vegetables and apply board and paste to the stems of the plants in the gardens, cover small nurseries and vegetables with plastic sheet and plant reeds on the north side of the crop so that the crop is protected from the cold wind coming from the north. The plants can also be partially covered. He said that in case of covering the plants with plastic sacks, keep the mouth of the sacks open from the bottom and remove the sacks from the plants in the sun during the day, while the plants should be covered again at night. can be affected by frost, so close the mouth of the tunnel on both sides during frosty nights so that the temperature inside is suitable for the growth of vegetables and open the mouth of the tunnel at 10 o'clock in the day so that the temperature inside does not increase and close the mouth of the tunnel at 4 o'clock in the evening so that the crop is not affected by frost.
