Ceremony organized by the Department of Social Welfare on the occasion of International Children's Day

Faisalabad(94 news) On the occasion of International Children's Day, a ceremony was held under the auspices of Department of Social Welfare at Capacity Building and Learning Center Social Welfare Complex in which children from Model Children's Home, Nighaban Center, SOS Village, Anjaman Islamia Apna Ghar, Sweet Home and other institutions participated. Member of Punjab Baitul Mal Council Shabana Khurram was the chief guest of the ceremony while former test cricketer Saeed Ajmal was the guest of honor. Director Social Welfare Muhammad Shahdharana, Deputy Director Khalid Bashir, Social Leader Dr. Jafar Hassan Mubarak, Social Welfare Officer Zarihana Yasmin, Muhammad Tahir, Muhammad Tanveer, Director SOS Village Nadeem Amjad and others were also present.

Member Punjab Baitul-Mal Council Shabana Khurram appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare Department in organizing a colorful event on the occasion of International Children's Day and said that the government is firmly committed to providing education, health and sports facilities to the future builders. He said that serious measures are needed at all levels to secure the future of children so that the real objectives of celebrating International Children's Day can be achieved. Cricketer Saeed Ajmal said that it is the duty of parents to teach their children ethics and take special care of their education and training before introducing them to the society so that they do not feel deprived at any level. He said that children should be given ample opportunities to participate in sports along with education. That the protection of children's rights is the responsibility of all of us. He said that in order to achieve the main objectives of celebrating the International Day, awareness should be raised among the children so that the children learn with passion. Social leader Dr. Jafar Hassan Mubarak said that children are our capital, pride and bright future, whose welfare should not be reduced. Social Welfare Officer Rehana Yasmin thanked the guests for participating in the event and encouraging the children. While awareness was also organized among the children about avoiding social problems. On this occasion, the children also presented various tableaus.
