Faisalabad (94 news) A meeting of the Divisional Crop Management and Monitoring Committee was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Salut Saeed. Director Agriculture Chaudhry Abdul Hameed, Director Pest Warning Dr. Amir Rasool, Deputy Director Agriculture Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood and other officers and representatives of farmers were also present.

Commissioner was briefed about cotton cultivation and targets. On this occasion, the Commissioner said that a helpline should be created to provide information regarding the cotton crop to the farmers. Indiscriminate action should be taken against those who exploit the farmers. He urged action against the sale of fake and non-standard agricultural medicines and said that the hideouts of people involved in such heinous business should be closed. The supply of canal water to the farmers should be ensured. The provision of facilities to the farmers is the first priority. Effective awareness should be given to the farmers throughout the division about the cultivation of Kokpas crop. In this context, seminars should be held in the rural areas. It was said that protection should be provided to the farmers in the vegetable markets.
