He expressed these views while planting saplings in FDA City under Plantation for Generation campaign. Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand, Project Director Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Consultant Horticulture Rana Sajjad and other officers were present on the occasion. DGFDA termed this special plantation campaign as very important and useful for providing a clean, healthy and pleasant environment for the future generations and said that the positive and beneficial effects of the success of this special plantation movement under the excellent idea of which Commissioner Faisalabad Raja Jahangir Anwar has started will reach the future generations because at least five feet size plants of different species grown in the local environment will be planted within the four walls and in other protected places. are being planted which will be easy to protect and special attention will be paid to growth. He said that this planting campaign is not just a ritual, but will make it a reality under the auspices of the FDA. 20 Thousands of saplings are being planted in which private housing societies are also involved in the wide spaces available in FDA City. He asked the Additional Director General to ensure the geo-tagging of the planted plants and their survival with special focus on maintenance to achieve 100% desired results. On this occasion, Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand and other officers also planted saplings. Meanwhile, officials of the Town Planning Department of the FDA also encouraged the managers of private housing schemes to participate in the Plantation for Generation campaign and planted hundreds of saplings in Satara Gold City, Swiss Park City, Model City Two and other housing schemes and issued special instructions to nurture them.
