The organization of this event was organized by Karachi Union of Journalists and Karachi Press Club under the supervision of PFJ President Afzal Butt, Secretary General Arshad Ansari. PFUJ leaders Minhaj Barna Nisar Usmani and Hafeez Raqib from all over the country participated in the fight for freedom of press. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah was the special guest of the event. He along with Afzal Butt Arshad Ansari and Secretary of National Press Club Nayyar Ali K also presented Platinum Jubilee Shield to the journalists who performed best on behalf of PFUJ.     We want to send a clear message to all governments, institutions, and individuals who want to take away media freedom:
    “You cannot silence us”
    PFUJ PFUJ will continue to fight for the rights of journalists and media workers, and will stand like a leaden wall to defend freedom of press and expression.
    We will not be silent. We will not be afraid. We will continue our struggle for a free and independent media, and a democratic and just society.
