Faisalabad (94 news) Organized by Faisalabad NGOs Network, Home Town Community Foundation, City Traffic Police, a seminar was held at the Metropolitan Corporation Hall on the occasion of the World Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Chief Traffic Officer Maqsood Ahmad Lone, CO Metropolitan Corporation Zubair Vito, Director Social Welfare Mazmal Yar, CEO Education Kashif Zia, Chairman Faisalabad NGOs Network and President All Pakistan Private Schools Alliance Founders Mian Nadeem Ahmed, Associate Professor Dr. Iram Siddique, Dr. Samreen Afzal, Dr. Hasnain Chatha, Muhammad Athar, Saleem Bulandia, Yousuf Adnan and Dr. Mubasher Bajwa were in charge. Education Unit City Traffic Police specially participated. On this occasion, students of medical university, representatives of NGOs, city traffic police officials, students of colleges and civil society participated in full.

Speaking at the event, CTO Maqsood Ahmed Lone said that every year 26 June is World No Drug Day, but this day needs to be celebrated every day, as drugs are destroying our young generation and the increase in the number of drug users every day is very alarming. It is the responsibility of all of us to participate in this Jihad, the police or the government alone cannot do anything without the support of the people, we have to save our generation.

Director Social Welfare Mizmal Yar said that our NGOs are doing excellent work, and I congratulate all the members of the NGO network for conducting such a big seminar today. He said that the purpose of celebrating this day is to raise awareness among the people that people who fall into intoxication are also a part of our society, if for some reason they have made this mistake and put their lives at stake, then it is our responsibility as doctors, social workers as human beings to get rid of this curse and bring them back to a normal life.

Chairman Faisalabad NGOs Network and General Secretary Yusuf Adnan said in his speech that today the world is developing as fast as it is getting destroyed, today's parents do not have time for their children and today not only youth but also children are under the curse of drug addiction but now female students are also taking drugs which is a big challenge for our society, our governments and law enforcement agencies. Who play with people's lives for their business. Mian Nadeem Ahmed said that representatives of NGOs are doing jihad and are busy saving the lives of people's children.

CEO Education Kashif Zia, CO Metropolitan Corporation Zubair Vito, Mohammad Athar, Saleem Bulandia and Mubashir Bajwa said that we all need to work against drug addiction. Those who think that using drugs will solve our problems are in the dark and we have to explain it to them.

Associate Professor Dr. Iram Siddique, Dr. Samreen Afzal and President of Young Doctor Association, Dr. Hasnain Chatta, while discussing the harms, treatment and rehabilitation of its use, said that there can be many reasons for the use of drugs. If someone has fallen under this curse, then we have to save him. Steps need to be taken to rehabilitate him and then put full checks and balances on him again, give him respect, so that he doesn't fall back into this hell again.
