Conducting awareness seminars and walks in connection with World Antimicrobial Awareness Week organized by Livestock Department

Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter)In the light of the special instructions of the Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Government of Punjab Ahmed Aziz Tarar on behalf of the Department of Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Division Faisalabad, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week is being held in Division Faisalabad as well as across Punjab. (WOW) In connection with this, special awareness activities, seminars and walks were organized in all the districts. These activities were outlined under the One Health approach under the guidance of ADDRS Director and the leadership of Director General Research in which districts of Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot participated fully. The activities were attended by the respective Additional Director Livestock, DICO Faisalabad, the respective Deputy Director Livestock, Professors from Agriculture University Faisalabad as guest speakers, Veterinary Officers, Senior Veterinary Officers, APV Owners, Field Staff and Livestock Farmers. A large number of participants participated. Experts Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) The participants were informed that the unnecessary use of antibiotics not only affects the health of livestock but also poses serious risks to human health and future generations. Director Livestock Faisalabad Division Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr said that antimicrobial resistance is a rapidly growing global problem and can only be countered by responsible medicine. Utilization, accurate diagnosis, timely treatment and public awareness are only possible. Livestock Department Faisalabad Division is continuously providing guidance to farmers and public to prevent this problem and awareness campaigns will continue continuously and limited and appropriate use of antibiotics can make a safer present and a better future possible.
