Traffic e-challan has been launched in Faisalabad, SSP, CTO

In case of not wearing a helmet, a fine of 2000 rupees will have to be paid for violation of one way. Citizens should not violate the rules to avoid e-challan, Nasir Javed.
Due to the CCTV cameras installed under the Safe City project, 80% of crimes have been reduced in the city, the crime rate is high in areas where cameras are not installed, said SSP Malik Tariq Mehboob.

Faisalabad(Mian Nadeem Ahmed Bureau Chief) Traffic e-challan has been launched in Faisalabad, in the third largest city of Pakistan, CCTV cameras were installed under the Safe City Project to prevent crime as well as enforce traffic rules. SSP Malik Tariq Mehboob and Chief Traffic Officer Nasir Javed told this conversation while holding a press conference. They said that today the series of e-challan is being started in Faisalabad along with Rawalpindi and Gujranwala. He said that the camera will focus on your number plate and a picture will be taken of the violation of traffic rules, which will be sent to your registered mobile and the amount of the challan will also be told, which you can pay through your mobile account. He said that 75% of the deaths in motorcycle drivers' accidents are due to head injuries due to not wearing helmets, which is a huge number. SSP Malik Tariq Mehboob said that 80% of crimes have been reduced due to the CCTV cameras installed under the Safe City project. The crime rate is still high in areas where cameras have not been installed yet. Malik Tariq said that in the coming days cameras will be installed at the tehsil level and then at the union council level as well. Chief Traffic Officer Nasir Javed said that today Faisalabad is also entering a new era of technology. The responsibilities of the traffic wardens are many, with the help of these cameras, not only action will be taken against the violators of the traffic rules but also help in maintaining the flow of traffic. He said that in case of not wearing a helmet, two thousand challan has to be paid. Similarly, in case of not wearing seat belt, a fine of 500 rupees for a small vehicle and 750 rupees for a large vehicle will have to be paid. Similarly, a fine of Rs 2,000 for violation of one-way traffic, Rs 200 for motorbikes and Rs 500 for cars for violation of traffic signals.
