Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter) Interfaith Iftar Dinner in Faisalabad’ Committed to promoting peace and religious harmony, in the spirit of mutual respect and interfaith harmony, the Catholic Commission for Interfaith Dialogue and Inter-Church Unity organized an Interfaith Iftar Dinner at Hotel West Inn, Faisalabad. The event was held on the occasion of the holy days of Lent and Ramadan, with the aim of promoting a common commitment to peace, tolerance and unity among the Muslim and Christian communities. Dr. Andreas Rahmat, Bishop of Faisalabad, hosted the event. The event was attended by Christian and Muslim religious leaders, police officials, representatives of civil society organizations, district peace committee members, social workers and community leaders, which highlighted the diversity and unity of the local society. This event provided an excellent opportunity to promote dialogue, stability of mutual relations and brotherhood among the followers of different religions. On this occasion, Father Khalid Rashid Asi said that such inter-religious events play an important role in promoting the atmosphere of tolerance and respect in society and building bridges of mutual understanding between different communities. All the participants of the event reiterated their commitment to promote peace, harmony and brotherhood in the society. Dialogue and cooperation between religious communities will continue.
