The staff of the concerned police station, including the SHO, were suspended for leaking the video statement of the accused of firing on Imran Khan

Lahore (94 news) Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi suspended all the staff, including the SHO of the concerned police station, after taking strict notice of the incident of leaking the video statement of the accused who fired on former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf in March.

An emergency meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Inspector General Police, Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan, Shafqat Mehmood, MPA Hafiz Amar Yasir, Akhtar Malik, Mian Mahmoodul Rashid, Principal Secretary Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Commissioner Lahore Division, CCPO Lahore and related officials participated in the meeting. Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi directed the Inspector General of Police to take strict disciplinary action against irresponsible officials. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that mobile phones of all police station staff should be seized and forensic audit of mobile phones should be conducted.
