The Senate issued a notification of the approval of the resolution regarding the postponement of the elections

The notification for postponing the elections was issued by the Joint Secretary, Senate Secretariat, and a copy of the resolution was sent to the President of Pakistan, Caretaker Prime Minister, Election Commission, Ministry of Law and other relevant departments.

In the text of the notification, it is said that the Election Commission of Pakistan should change the election schedule immediately in view of the situation in the country. The Senate Secretariat has also directed the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to take immediate action and submit a report.
