The government has banned the sale of e-cigarettes to people under the age of 21

Peshawar(94 Web News Desk) The caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned the sale of e-cigarettes to people under the age of 21.
Section 144 has been imposed by the caretaker government regarding the storage, sale and use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes and other such products near educational institutions. In the notification issued by the Provincial Department of Home Affairs and Tribal Affairs, it has been stated that the use of vape and e-cigarettes in the province is increasing at an alarming rate, due to which the said action has been taken by the caretaker government.
The department has said that strict action will be taken against those selling vape and e-cigarettes to persons under 21 years of age and within 50 meters of educational institutions. In this regard, the civil society has appreciated this initiative of the government.
