GC Women's University Syndicate Meeting, chaired by the Minister of Education

Faisalabad(94news) The 11th meeting of Government College Women University Faisalabad Syndicate was held in Committee Room Lahore Board under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Rubina Farooq Vice Chancellor Government College Women University Faisalabad, Members Provincial Assembly and Members Syndicate Mrs. Sonia, Mrs. Firdous Rehana, Members Syndicate Dr. Riazul Haque, Professor Dr. Muhammad Tufail, Dr. Tayyab Shaheen, Mrs. Sara Hayat, Dr. Shahida Qasim and Rahat Afza, High Education Commission, Law Department, Finance Department and High Education Department representatives participated in the meeting.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Rubina Farooq presented various agenda items for approval in the Syndicate and gave a briefing about the problems faced by the university and the efforts made so far to solve them. Addressing the meeting, Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir Humayun said that the present government is following a comprehensive strategy for the improvement of the education sector, under which not only new universities have been built across Punjab, but also to solve the problems faced by the existing universities. Efforts are being made. He said that in the past years, the education sector, especially the institutions providing higher education, were completely neglected, even though they have been established for many years, they are facing various legal and administrative problems due to which their performance is affected. He directed the officers of Finance, Law and Higher Education Departments to cooperate fully with the administration of Government College Women University Faisalabad to solve the legal and administrative problems faced by them.
