The pace of work on WASA schemes in Jhang Road, Millat Road and Nethri should be accelerated, says MD WASA.

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Vasa Managing Director Saqib Raza has warned that the construction work should not be stopped on any development scheme while the pace of construction work on the ongoing development schemes in Jhang Road, Millat Road and Nethri should be accelerated. While presiding over the Development Progress Review Committee meeting, he said that the main force line to be laid on Jhang Road. 10 Everything should be completed by February so that the communities adjacent to Jhang Road can get significant relief in sewage matters. MD Wasa further said that geotechnical and design of new schemes of Punjab development package should be completed as soon as possible, notices should be issued to the contractors whose physical progress is not as per the fixed timeline and clarified that if they do not make further progress on the development schemes, their contracts should be cancelled. He further said that the sewage pipelines at Moradabad, Riaz Shahid Chowk and Chaban Road should be completed soon to tackle the sewage challenges of the citizens. MD Vasa clarified that the de-silting of main channels should also be completed before the monsoon season so that quality drainage facilities can be provided to the citizens in the coming rainy season.
