Training Workshop on Measles and Rubella Prevention, Special Participation of Dr. Haroon Jahangir, Director General Health Services Punjab

Faisalabad (94 news) In Punjab, a training workshop was organized in connection with Measles and Rubella prevention campaign.

Director General Health Services Punjab Dr. Haroon Jahangir was the chief guest on the occasion. CEO Health Dr. Mushtaq Sapra, Director EPI Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, DHO Dr. Bilal Ahmed and others were present on the occasion.

In the workshop, technical sessions on micro-planning were conducted by representatives of World Health Organization and UNICEF. DHO and DSV of seven districts Multan, Wahari, Khanewal, Lodhran, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum also participated in the training workshop. DG Health said that due to increasing cases of measles in Punjab, it was decided to conduct the campaign in November this year. He said that there has been an increase in measles cases in different districts of Punjab. He said that only with better micro-planning the campaign can be made successful at district, tehsil and union council level. Training workshops are being organized in Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore.
