Polio campaign meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman, participation of Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner through video link

Faisalabad (94 news) A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman. Commissioner Faisalabad Salut Saeed and Deputy Commissioner Capt. (T) Nadeem Nasir participated through video link. Chief Secretary Punjab decided to digitize the micro-plans to make the upcoming anti-polio campaign effective and said that the anti-polio campaign will be monitored with the help of GIS based maps. He said that in the next anti-polio campaign, the implementation of digitized micro-plans will be started from Lahore. For the complete eradication of polio, work should be done on scientific basis. He said that the digitization of micro-plans is very necessary to achieve hundred percent results. After analyzing the data, a plan of action should be prepared for the coverage of missed children. He said that special teams should be formed to administer polio vaccine drops at transit points. A detailed briefing was given to the meeting. The national anti-polio campaign in Punjab will start from October 28. The campaign will continue in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad till November 3 and in other districts till November 1. Representatives of international organizations working to eradicate polio also participated in the meeting. Commissioner Faisalabad informed about the micro plan of the upcoming anti-polio campaign and said that he is determined to make the campaign 100% successful. He said that no effort will be spared to make the homeland polio-free.
