Price Control Magistrate Riaz Hussain Anjum raids, shopkeepers fined Rs 75,000

Faisalabad (94 news) Admin Officer DC Office/Price Control Magistrate Riyaz Hussain Anjum fined various shopkeepers Rs 75,000 for serious violation of Price Control Act.

He checked the presence of prices and price lists of essential items at the DC counters of various markets and bazaars, grocery stores and mega marts and imposed fines on the spot to the shopkeepers selling items at more than the fixed price. He clarified that the price checking process is ongoing on a regular basis on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayar Sheikh and those who charge arbitrary prices will go to jail.
