Decision to establish FIC Medical Centers in Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals

Faisalabad(94 news) In order to reduce the rush of patients in the outdoor department of Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, it has been decided to establish FIC Medical Centers in Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals of the district under the outreach program so that medical facilities can be provided near the homes of cardiac patients. This decision was taken by Divisional Commissioner Ishrat Ali while inspecting various medical facilities during a visit to FIC. Executive Director FIC Dr. Anjum Jalal apprised the Divisional Commissioner about the medical facilities available for heart patients and the situation of rush of patients for medical examination at the outdoor department. CEO Health Dr. Mushtaq Sapra, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Nadeem and other doctors were also present on this occasion.

The Divisional Commissioner said that the available resources will be utilized in the best way to provide easy and extensive medical facilities to heart disease patients. In this regard, in order to bring medical aid to the grassroots level, Tehsil Headquarters will make adequate arrangements to provide essential medicines to heart patients by examining them in hospitals, while in case of emergency or serious illness, the heart patient can be shifted to FIC. The patients are also benefiting from the medical facilities, so apart from the provision of additional resources, the necessary measures for the expansion and development of the FIC will also be fully supported. On this occasion, it was decided that the FIC specialist doctors will examine the patients at the FIC medical centers established in Tehsil headquarters hospitals during the fixed days, thanks to which not only the distant patients get medical examination facilities at their doorsteps but also the rush of patients in the outdoor department of the FIC. The Divisional Commissioner said that comprehensive planning will be done to make the outreach program successful and this system will be run systematically through information technology. He said that some local doctors of the primary and secondary health department will also be trained by FIC. The Divisional Commissioner assured to solve the problem of anesthesiologist doctor in FIC and asked CEO Health to make immediate temporary arrangements for it.
