Faisalabad (94 news) District Information Secretary of Minhaj-ul-Quran Movement, Ghulam Muhammad Qadri, has said in his statement on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day that the field of journalism is playing an important role for the protection of human dignity, security of the individual, civil equality, freedom of speech and protection of basic human rights and in every era, journalists have paid a heavy price for telling the truth and many journalists have lost their lives for telling the truth. Journalism sector is struggling for protection of national security, promotion of true democracy, identification of system flaws and supremacy of law. He said that apart from this, the platform of journalism is also a hope of providing justice for the oppressed and suffering humanity. When all the doors of hearing are closed on the oppressed, the door of journalism remains open even in these situations. He said that with the passage of time, where the role of other sectors of life is getting limited, there are tricks to limit and block the freedom of the journalism sector because it is very difficult for the powerful class to hear the real truth. He said that journalists and journalists Institutions convey facts to the public by rejecting pressure, greed and fear, they are on the prophetic method and these journalists and journalistic institutions are the dignity of the society.
