Industrial units from Kamalpur Interchange to Samana Bridge will also pay WASA bill now


Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) On the instructions of Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza, a survey of the industrial units from Kamalpur Interchange to Samana Bridge will be conducted next week in which drainage and revenue teams will participate and those industrial units who pour water into the drainage lines of WASA will be issued bills while those who do not pay the bills will be disconnected. In this regard, a meeting was held between representatives of WASA Faisalabad and industrial units in which Deputy Managing Director Usman Zia, Deputy Managing Director Engineering Usman Latif, Director Operations West Makhdoom Babar participated and discussed about prevention of overflow of chemical contaminated water of industrial units on Sargodha Road and registration of industrial units. On this occasion, WASA officers clarified that the district administration has expressed great concern over the overflow of chemicals from industrial units on Sargodha Road and WASA Faisalabad will take special measures to remedy the same. He further said that a survey of industrial units from Kamalpur Interchange to Samana Bridge by Vasa will be conducted on Monday next in which operations, drainage and revenue teams will participate. The survey will identify which industrial units are discharging how much water and to which drainage line it is connected. WASA officials clarified that the industrial units that are not registered will have their connections cut off, while the industrial units that are registered will be issued bills. He also clarified that legal action will be taken against the industrial units where water was seen on the main Sargodha road.
