Pak-Afghan negotiations: Some members of the Afghan delegation adopted provocative and frivolous behavior during the negotiations

Islam Abad (94 news) The recent talks between the delegations of Pakistan and Afghanistan, held in Istanbul under Turkish and Qatari mediation, ended without any final result.
A well-known journalist Muhammad Asim Naseer has written on the "X" account of social media that the talks could not reach an agreement due to the non-cooperative and obstructive attitude of the Afghan delegation. Some members of the Afghan delegation behaved provocatively and frivolously during the negotiations, avoided answering clear questions and used inappropriate language on some occasions. Qatari and Turkish mediators expressed surprise at this behavior.
On the other hand, Pakistan made a clear stand and the Pakistani delegation insisted that Afghanistan take concrete, verifiable measures against terrorist groups that attack Pakistan from its territory. The Afghan delegation continued to avoid this important security point and offered vague promises and legal explanations instead of practical assurances.
During the talks, Pakistan presented concrete evidence—including time and place—that pointed to terrorism originating from Afghan soil. However, instead of acknowledging the evidence, the Afghan representatives questioned it and turned the matter to a political and procedural debate.
In the talks, the Pakistani delegation made it clear that if Afghan territory continues to be used against Pakistan, Islamabad reserves the right to take appropriate measures to defend its people and sovereignty.
According to sources, the first day of the 3-day talks 19 hours, second 11 hours and third 18 The hours went on. 3 The draft was finally approved by both sides, but each time the Afghan delegation refused to sign after receiving instructions from Kabul. Qatari and Turkish mediators expressed regret and surprise at this behavior.
Pakistan has once again expressed its willingness to give an opportunity to negotiations at the request of the mediator countries, which is a proof of its sincerity, seriousness and spirit of peace. Pakistan's objective is to promote sustainable peace, stability and mutual cooperation in the region to eliminate any terrorist threat.
