Lahore (94 news) PDMA Punjab has issued an alert regarding the seventh spell of monsoon rains. 13 From 15 Heavy monsoon rains are predicted in most districts of Punjab during August. Heavy rains are likely in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan. Heavy rains are also predicted in the upper reaches of Indus, Chenab, Sutlej, Jhelum and Ravi.

DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia has issued instructions to the commissioners and deputy commissioners across the province to remain alert. Director General PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said that there is a fear of urban flooding in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sialkot. Due to heavy rains, there is also a risk of flash flooding in rivers adjacent to major rivers. PDMA Punjab also issued instructions to civil defense, rescue and related agencies to complete advance arrangements.
