According to sources, Mianwali police along with Islamabad police raided Umar Ayub's house yesterday. At the same time, Umar Ayub informed Ayaz Sadiq that the police had come to arrest him. Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq issued instructions to the police not to arrest Umar Ayub. According to parliamentary sources, under the new SOPs, the NAB or the police are bound to inform the Speaker before arresting any member.
