Tremolo:Allama Dr. Mohammad Adnan Farooq Danish

94 News. This night is being celebrated with worship since the beginning of Islam. What is Shab Baraat?

The word Shab is a Persian word meaning night and Baraat is an Arabic word meaning freedom (This night is called Shab-e-Barat because in this night, Allah saves people from Hell equal to the hair of Banukalb goats.

Allah, the Exalted, has given some things superiority and status over others. As Madinah is superior to all cities, the valley of Makkah is superior to all valleys, Beer Zamzam is superior to all wells, Masjid Haram is superior to all mosques, Safar-i-Miraj is superior to all journeys, one believer is superior to all human beings, one saint is superior to all. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has special excellence over all the believers, the Companion over all the Saints, the Prophet over all the Companions, the Messenger over all the Prophets, and the crowner of the universe among the Messengers.

Allah, the Exalted, has similarly given some days more merit than others. Friday is preferred over all the days of the week, Ramadan is preferred over all months, Acceptance Hour is preferred over all hours, Lailatul Qadr is preferred over all nights and Shab Barat is preferred over other nights.

From the blessed hadiths of Shaban al-Mu'zam 15 The excellence and specialty of the th night is proven, which encourages Muslims to follow and obey and to develop a taste and passion for worship. It is also known as Shab-e-Barat, which means the night of deliverance and freedom from hell. This name was given to this night by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, because countless people are saved from Hell by God's mercy on this night.

There are many names of this noble night: Lailat Mubarak: A blessed night

Lailatul Bara'ah: The night of freedom from hell.

Lailat al-Saq: Documentary night.

Lailatul-ur-Rahmah: The night of the revelation of the special mercy of Allah

The customs of the government of Madinah, may God bless and grant him peace, are narrated by Umm al-Mu'minin, Hazrat Sayyiduna Aisha Siddiqa, may Allah be pleased with her.:I did not see Huzoor-e-Aqdas sallallahu alaihi wa sallam fasting in any month more than Shaban al-Mu'zam.(Tirmidhi) You, may God be pleased with you, say more: One night I did not find the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. I went out in search of you, peace and blessings of God be upon you, and you found me in Jannat al-Baqi. The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said.: Indeed, the fifteenth of Sha'ban(15Th) The night manifests itself in the sky of the world, so it spares more people than the hairs of the goats of the tribe of Bani Kalb.(Tirmidhi )It is known that it is Sunnah to perform prayers and go to the graveyard on Shab-e-Bara'at.

Both the methods of worshiping alone on this night and worshiping in congregation are proven by the Imams. Since waking up and worshiping on this night is a mustahab act, according to our opinion, it should be left to human nature and mood, whichever way one's nature and mood feels good and spiritual sweetness, he should adopt that method. Because the main purpose of this night is to purify the heart. So, whoever is blessed with the sweetness of faith should follow it. Some people are reclusive in nature and they find peace and tranquility and mental harmony by worshiping and crying in solitude, so there is no harm in adopting this method.

On the contrary, some people feel more ease and comfort in worshiping in congregation, so they should be allowed to follow this method because this practice is also proven by the Imams.

Rather, since today's era is an era of simplism and religious teachings, there are few people in this era whose homes and nights are illuminated by the light of Qiyam Al-Lil. And there is not enough consistency in the nature that people can stay awake all night in their homes and perform worship and azkar with agility and diligence. After worshiping for some time in solitude, Satan curses them through the weapon of laziness and sleep. Therefore, if collective worship makes people interested in religion and diligent in worship, then it is recommended for them to worship collectively.

There is also a process of education and training in worshiping collectively. Even people who are ignorant of religious teachings and paying nawafil and azkar easily participate in the collective process and pay their prayers and learn the things they do not know.

It should be kept in mind that collective worship should be under the supervision and training of a practical scholar, who can train and reform people in both intellectual and spiritual aspects.

Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (RA) says,

One night I did not find Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with me, so I went in search of him. (The cemetery) I am visiting. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Are you afraid that Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will abuse you?" I said, O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Night in the sky of the world (According to his glory) He shines and forgives more people than the hair of goats.

On the Night of Purity, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself woke up at night and advised others to wake up at night as well. “When it is the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, keep awake at night and fast during the day. Based on this hadith, it has always been the practice of Muslims that they have been organizing vigils during the night and fasting during the day.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) says that there are five nights in which supplication is not rejected: Friday night, the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, the night of Eid al-Fitr and the night of Eid al-Adha
