In government holidays, WASA also ensured clean water supply to flood -hit areas

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) According to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, WASA Faisalabad remained busy in providing water to the flood affected people despite the official holidays. In this regard, Managing Director of WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema stated that under the direction of Secretary Housing Noor Ul Amin Mengal and DG Punjab Wasa Tayyab Farid, WASA Faisalabad administration is determined to serve the flood victims of Chiniot Jhang and Tandlianwala. He further said on behalf of the water distribution staff 3 Water Bowser is providing uninterrupted water supply to flood victims of Chiniot and Jhang. One water tanker from Chiniot Road to Bhawana Road, another water tanker from Bhawana to Jhang while the third water tanker from Chiniot Road to Lahore Road has been earmarked to provide drinking water to the flood victims. Similarly, hundreds of one and a half liter bottles produced by Wasa's bottling plant are being distributed to the flood victims of Tandlianwala and adjacent riverine areas to provide clean drinking water. MD WASA clarified that the supply of clean drinking water to the flood victims of all four areas is being done continuously on a daily priority basis and WASA is working side by side with passion to provide the basic need of drinking water to the flood victims of Faisalabad in this difficult time. MD Vasa Sohail Qadir Cheema further said that along with Chiniot to Bhawana, Bhawana to Jhang, Chiniot to Lahore road, the staff of Water Directorate are also performing their duties along with the designated water tankers, while the flood victims in the flood relief camps of the four areas are continuing to supply ample amount of water by utilizing all the available resources.
