On this occasion, it was informed that under the Improvement of Water Supply Business Management Project, installation of smart water meters will be done in the area of ​​Golestan Colony, which will prevent the wastage of drinking water on the one hand and increase the revenue of WASA on the other hand. MD WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema clarified that for the installation of water smart meters at the houses of consumers with water connection. 510 Million cost agreement has been signed and is now entering the stages of procurement of meters and the project will be completed by 2027 as per the stipulated time frame. He further said that steps are being taken regarding the capacity management of WASA Faisalabad with the cooperation of Japan and under this project, financial affairs, revenue recovery, water security and other measures will be taken which will further improve the performance of WASA. A few suggestions were made by the JICA delegation to speed up the work on the project, which were assured to be implemented. DMD Engineering Saqib Raza, Deputy Director Sanul Malik, JICA Consultant Sultan Azam and others were also present on this occasion.
