PEMRA stopped to broadcast special programs on Eid-ul-Azha TV channels

Islam Abad (94 news) PEMRA has stopped TV channels from airing special Eid programs on Eid-ul-Azha.

PEMRA has issued a notice appealing to TV channels to refrain from telecasting pre-recorded or live programs that hurt the sentiments of the nation and the Kashmiri brothers. In the notice, it has been said that in the context of Indian atrocities on Kashmiris, all such programs should be avoided during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, which would inflame national sentiments and hurt the hearts of Kashmiri brothers. Pemra has said that 14 Independence Day will be celebrated on August as an expression of solidarity with brave Kashmiris while Indian Independence Day 15 August will celebrate as Black Day, the national flag will fly at half mast occasion.

The Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has suggested TV channels to use their logos to highlight Indian atrocities in Occupied Kashmir. 15 August 2019 to turn black and white.
