According to Daily Star, this incident took place in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, where a 35-year-old man named Mani Kundan, who returned from Sri Lanka, was asked by the police to stay in his house for 14 days so that if he has the corona virus, the symptoms will appear and he will not infect others.
The man was locked in his house for a week and came out a week later, he tore his clothes and ran naked in the streets. Meanwhile, he saw an elderly woman sleeping outside her house. He attacked the woman and started biting her with his teeth. He bit her neck and severed her aorta, causing her death. Hearing the screams of the woman, the people gathered and caught the man and handed him over to the police after the torture. According to the police, Manikundan was mentally ill and was undergoing treatment since 2010. Being locked in the house aggravated his mental illness, on which he took this action.
