Faisalabad(94 news) Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayar Sheikh has said that measures should be taken without delay to promote kitchen gardening in government schools. In this regard, at least one school of each tehsil with fixed available land should be selected and implemented. He said that kitchen gardening should be implemented. The Deputy Commissioner directed the CEO Education to make the experts visit the schools and complete the work related to other necessary issues including plot size and water supply sources. He also urged the Department of Agriculture Extension to support and said that state-of-the-art kitchen gardening projects should be started in schools. He said that the respective school councils should be assigned responsibilities in this regard. He said that School students should also be made aware about kitchen gardening so that they can increase employment by setting up this project on the available land at household level as well.
