Lahore(94news) In the meeting presided over by the Prime Minister in Lahore, the performance of many members of the provincial cabinet remained a question mark. The Prime Minister had expressed his serious reservations after reviewing the performance of the ministers of agriculture, food, health and especially information for the last six months. باوثوق ذارئع کے مطابق اس سے پہلے بھی بعض وزراء نے فیاض الحسن چوہان کے رویئے اور بیانات کے بارے میں وزیراعظم کو آگاہ کیا تھا جس پر وزیراعظم نے سخت ناراضگی کا اظہار کیا تھا۔ وزیر اعظم نے ان وزراء سے یہ بھی کہا کہ آپ کو ایک موقع دیا جاتا ہے کہ آپ اپنے محکمے کی کارکردگی بہتر بنائیں اور میڈیا سے اچھے تعلقات استوار کریں۔ حکومت کے پروگرام اور اپنے محکموں کی کارکردگی کو اجاگر کرنے کیلئے فوکل پرسن مقرر کریں جو حکومت، میڈیا اور عوام کے درمیان بہتر طریقہ کار اور آگاہی کے ایجنڈے کو آگے بڑھائیں تاکہ حکومت اور عوام میں پیدا ہونے والی غلط فہمیوں کا خاتمہ اور افواہوں کا تدارک ہوسکے۔
Imran Khan said that the provision of health, education, justice and clean drinking water to the people is our first priority. I am not satisfied with the performance of the Punjab government in this regard. Imran Khan also emphasized on controlling inflation and giving maximum relief to the people. The Prime Minister also addressed an informal meeting of the provincial cabinet during his visit to Lahore. He held separate meetings with Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar and Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and discussed the performance of the government in the last 6 months. The Prime Minister asked questions about the performance of the Ministers of Food, Agriculture, Finance and Information and conveyed his concerns. Jahangir Tareen and his associates were also present on this occasion.
The Prime Minister directed the ministers to make focal persons in their departments for immediate resolution of the problems of the farmers who would inform the public and the media about the performance of their departments. The Prime Minister decided in the meeting that the old reserves of wheat should be eliminated, wheat should be imported and arrangements should be made to buy all the wheat from the farmers without discrimination from April. They should be guided in cultivating the crops according to the demand and the ministers of the said departments were told by the Prime Minister that their ministries are subject to their future performance which the ministers will not deliver to the people, their departments could be taken back or changed.
According to the sources, the Prime Minister, in consultation with the Chief Minister and the Governor of Punjab, has indicated to add 3 more new ministers in the federal cabinet in the first week of April and to change the portfolios of at least 7 ministers in Punjab. He also expressed his indignation at the Prime Minister's appointment of one and a half dozen spokespersons of the Punjab government, saying that these people are already representing the party in TV programs. The Prime Minister directed to take immediate steps to provide all the necessities of life to the people at cheap prices in the Ramadan bazaar in all the cities before the month of Ramadan and said that in this regard the recommendations of Task Force Punjab convener Muhammad Akram Chaudhary, who is currently working well according to the government agenda, should be implemented. The Chief Minister and his government should fully support him.
