Secretary Liqut Chatta's visit to Faisalabad, instructions to further improve anti-dengue measures

Faisalabad (94 news) Secretary Labor Punjab/Incharge Anti-Dengue Measures Liaquat Ali Chatta visited Faisalabad and chaired a high-level meeting on Anti-Dengue Measures at DC Office.

Deputy Commissioner Lt(T)Sohail Ashraf gave a briefing on anti-dengue measures in the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Qaiser Abbas Rand, CEO FWMC Bilal Feroze Joya, Assistant Commissioners Muhammad Umar Maqbool, Sahibzada Muhammad Yusuf, CEO Health Dr. Sulaiman Zahid, District Programme. Coordinator Dr. Zulqarnain and officers of all other relevant departments were present in the meeting. Secretary Labor Punjab/in-charge said that due to the monsoon season, the next one month is very sensitive in terms of breeding of dengue larvae, so all the departments are in close contact with each other and come into action to combat dengue larvae. will be continuously monitored. He said that under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner, the anti-dengue measures in the district are clear. He urged to keep dengue beds ready in case of emergency by including the hospitals and said that the services of social security hospital should also be obtained. He emphasized the need to involve the departments and the people living there in the anti-dengue campaign and said to check frequently the tire shops, cemeteries and other suspected breeding places of dengue larvae. He also instructed to focus on the areas that have changed from villages to cities. He clarified that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shehbaz, they are monitoring the surveillance activities and repressive measures in Faisalabad, which are continuing with continuity. Therefore, the performance of each department should be more than one, in this context, the officers of the negligent departments will also be asked for an explanation. He said that real reporting should be done while speeding up the surveillance activities. He also urged to use all the means of publicity for dengue. The Deputy Commissioner said that the responsibilities have been assigned to all departments in the district against dengue and they should review the progress by holding a daily meeting of the District Emergency Response Committee. He said that the surveillance process of hotspots including graveyards, tire shops is going on uninterruptedly. He said that beds will also be allocated in hospitals for possible dengue patients while the shops of those who do not take preventive measures will be closed. Cells and cases are being registered and the scope of this campaign is being widened. He said that the number of Android users has been increased in the health centers while as per the micro plan of polio in the district, the whole district will be swept completely against dengue. Planning is underway which will involve all departments. The District Program Coordinator briefed on the details of indoor and outdoor surveillance activities, registration of cases, issuance of notices, release of tilapia fish in ponds and other preventive measures.
