According to the details, sources of the Election Commission say that the general elections will be held on February 8, the resolution of the Senate will not have any effect on the election schedule.

The sources further said that no orders other than the Supreme Court can affect the election schedule.

Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani chaired a meeting of the Upper House, in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senator Dilawar Khan presented a resolution to postpone the general elections on February 8.
